Providers may even prescribe medication, if needed.

State of Maryland offers discounted services on laser vision correction surgery through Laser Vision Network of America.

Get 1-on-1 support

Connect with an Advocate by phone or on the UnitedHealthcare® app to get the information you need, when you need it. Specially trained Advocates are here Monday through Friday during business hours to help you understand your benefits, make more informed health care decisions and access the care that fits your needs.

Behavioral Health Virtual Visits

Reaching out may be hard —especially if you might not want anyone to know you’re hurting. From the privacy of home and the convenience of your mobile device or computer, you can receive caring support from a licensed therapist.

Designed to help treat conditions like ADD/ADHD, anxiety, mental health disorders, addiction, and depression, virtual therapy offers confidential counseling and includes:

  • Private video sessions — in your home and at a time that’s convenient for you
  • Help with coping for adults, children, and teens — your licensed therapist may provide a diagnosis, treatment and medication if needed
  • Similar standard of care as in-person visits — you can see the same therapist with each appointment and establish an ongoing relationship

Once your coverage is effective, be sure to register on myuhc.com or call the number on your health plan ID card.

Support your emotional well-being

Whether you’re in a time of greater need or want to work on personal growth, you can get connected to self-help digital tools, in-person or virtual behavioral health providers and more. These resources and programs are designed to help with a variety of concerns from depression and anxiety to mental health and substance disorder services.

Keeping care on track

Preventive care - such as routine annual checkups and certain recommended age-appropriate screenings and immunizations - is covered by most UnitedHealthcare plans for little or no out-of-pocket when you see network providers. A preventive care visit may be a good time to help establish your relationship with your primary care provider. It can also help you manage your health and create a connection for future medical services.

LGBTQ+ community care and support

Having a health plan that supports who you are matters. Some benefits that may be of interest to members and allies of the LGBTQ+ community include:

  • Gender-affirming procedures and services
  • Behavioral health clinicians offering confidential support
  • A variety of family planning benefits
  • HIV prevention and services
  • Access to trained UnitedHealthcare Advisors to advocate for your well-being

Start living tobacco-free

With a coach on your side, it may be easier to leave tobacco behind. The Quit For Life® program includes access to the Quit For Life mobile app, support from a Quit Coach® and more to help you customize a quit plan and help you go tobacco-free

Flexible fitness options

With One Pass Select®, you can access a large network of gyms, including national fitness centers and boutique studios. Choose your membership tier and then you’ll be able to visit any gym location within your tier. One Pass Select gives you the flexibility to change tiers monthly or cancel at any time.
