Feeling cared for makes all the difference — and it starts right here, with UnitedHealthcare and {be.employer.name}. Let's look at some important things to know as you get ready to choose a plan that works to take good care of you.

Understanding special enrollment
Qualifying for special enrollment
If you experience a qualifying life event, you may be able to enroll in a plan outside of open enrollment – this is called special enrollment. Qualifying life events include:
  • Starting a new job
  • Getting married or divorced
  • Having a baby or adopting a child
  • And more

Getting started

Your quick-start checklist

There are a few things to consider as you explore your options and enroll in a plan – and a few things you can do to help you stay informed along the way.

  • Think about the providers you see regularly, like your primary care provider (PCP). If you’d like to keep seeing them, it’s a good idea to make sure they’re in the plan’s network.
  • Consider the health care you or your family may need in the plan year ahead – including supplemental coverage to complement your health plan.
  • Save your selections so that you’re ready to enroll.
  • Sign up for emails to get information on everything you can access and do when you’re enrolled in a plan.
  • Download our UnitedHealthcare® app to get your plan info at your fingertips as soon as coverage begins.
