Protect your finances and your family against the impact of a critical illness. Designed to help provide a financial cushion if you become seriously ill, Critical illness insurance helps you cover unforeseen costs and daily living expenses.
Plan-at-a-glance
Lump sum payment is paid directly to you after your diagnosis for a covered critical illness.
Use the benefit payment in any way you choose such as helping pay your mortgage or rent or other out-of-pocket expenses.
Benefits are not affected by other insurance benefits.
If you have a UnitedHealthcare medical plan, Benefit Assist® keeps an eye out for medical claims that may qualify you for a supplemental health benefit payout. This helps make it easier for you to get the benefits you’re eligible for.
Coverage is portable so, if you change jobs, you can take the plan with you.
